Wounded Warrior Project Donations
Each year, as part of the NCMS National Seminar, NCMS and its Chapters make a donation to an organization supporting our men and women in the Armed Forces. In previous years, we have donated phone cards to troops serving away from home. With cell phones and the internet being the primary means of communication between soldiers and their families, we felt that we could better support our troops in another way.
This year, NCMS will make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). The WWP began when several veterans and friends, moved by stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq, took action to help others in need. What started as a program to provide comfort items to wounded service members has grown into a complete rehabilitative effort to assist warriors as they recover and transition back to civilian life. Tens of thousands of Wounded Warriors and caregivers receive support each year through WWP programs.
If you wish to participate, please provide your donation to your chapter chair no later than June 1.
